Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:

  1. Introduce students to digital sampling techniques to perform analog parametric testing, including frequency response, harmonic and inter-modulation distortion, and noise behavior of mixed-signal circuits and systems (PA).

  2. Student will learn about digital-signal processing (DSP) basics, such as sampling, windowing and frequency transforms (DFT and FFT) (PA).

  3. Students will learn about analog, sampled-data, RF and High-Speed digital channels through worked examples in MATLAB (IN).

  4. Students will learn about coherent and non-coherent type measurements, together with the M/N coherent sampling principle (IN).

  5. Students will learn about building test interfacing using printed circuits and testing it operation and performance (DE).
